Human

Functional sound in the service of human health.

The Human Model brings together the Rubesa Universe technologies designed for stress regulation, nervous system support, cognitive performance and pain modulation. It is deployed through two technologies of Rubesa Universe's own making, and draws on the founding expertise of Pier and Dorine Rubesa, recognised pioneers of sound therapy — see the Founders page.

Technologies

Proprietary technology, launching 2026

ChronoTone®

A functional sound solution delivered through headphones, to a single individual, designed to target stress, anxiety and fear. Deployed primarily in outpatient oncology, palliative care, and inpatient chemotherapy settings.

  • Designed to target stress, anxiety and fear
  • Can be listened to, and stopped, at any time
  • Effects are felt immediately, reinforced through regular use
  • Easy to use — no training required

Proprietary technology

AetherExperience

Ambient functional sound diffusion, projected directly into the environment rather than to an individual. Deployed in professional settings, including clinical environments — distinct from ChronoTone®, which is delivered individually through headphones.

The dual mechanism of action (Human & Animal models)

Pathway 1

Neurophysiological pathway

  1. Auditory perception (ear → auditory cortex) in < 50ms
  2. Activation of the amygdala → hypothalamus axis
  3. Regulation of the HPA axis: ↓ cortisol / ↑ serotonin
  4. Autonomic nervous system shift: sympathetic → parasympathetic
  5. Measurable effect: increased HRV (validated biomarker)

Pathway 2

Mechanical pathway

  1. Low-frequency sound propagating as structural vibration through tissue
  2. Structure-borne vibration: bone structures → fascia → soft tissue
  3. Activation of mechanoreceptors and tissue sensors
  4. Effects on tone, posture and tissue recovery
